TOM SMITH’S eighth goal of the season helped Bath City extend their winning run to four matches.
The Romans opened the scoring on six minutes when Adam Mann sumptuously flicked in Sam Pearson’s low cross at the near post.
Pearson nearly created a second soon afterwards when his square ball found Tom Smith and his attempted dink over Chris Haigh was smuggled by the visiting stopper.
The Beach Boys changed their shape midway through the first half and it paid dividends with a leveller on the half hour.
