WEALDSTONE put in a resilient performance to survive a late rally from the in-form Saints. A 45th-minute finish from Dennon Lewis was enough for the table toppers, who end the year five points clear.
Stones skipper for the day Danny Green almost put a captain’s seal of approval on matters with a lovely strike before the break.
Unfortunately, his effort cannoned off the crossbar.
