WEALDSTONE fell to defeat at Marsh Lane as Oxford City earned a 3-2 victory over the National League South leaders. Goals from Joe Oastler, Elliot Benyon and Finn Tapp cancelled out second half efforts from Jacob Mendy and Adam Coombes.
It was a quiet opening 15 minutes, the highlight being Hoops’ Kevin Berkoe forcing a stop out of Harry Isted.
The game lacked any chances until the stroke of half-time when Oastler rose at the back-post to meet Zac McEachran’s cross to head in Oxford’s first goal.
