United ended a run of seven consecutive league and cup defeats with a hardfought victory over Hungerford Town. Cameron James and Diaz Wright ran the show for the Wings and the victory took them out of the bottom two.
However, defeat for the Crusaders leaves them seven points adrift at the bottom. It took eight minutes for Welling to go ahead when Anthony Cook fired home from a Dipo Akinyemi knockdown but Hungerford were level nine minutes later when Ralph Graham’s header came back off the bar and Liam Ferdinand pounced.
Cook side-footed over before Welling went back ahead...
