HUNGERFORD showed they won’t be going down without a fight as a first-half goal from Joe Tomlinson gave the Crusaders a deserved win over in-form Chelmsford.
They made a good start and Joe Tomlinson’s effort flew just over.
The visitors, though, had two golden chances. Sam Higgins was played clean through and chipped the on-rushing Adam Siviter but the ball hit the post. Chris Whelpdale then saw his strike saved by the legs of Siviter.
