BILLERICAY picked up their first home points of the season in a lively game settled by events either side of half-time.
Slough’s Ryan Bird picked up a red card a minute before the break, and Jake Robinson netted the opening goal a minute after it.
Cameron McGlip’s early shot was well saved by Blues keeper Dion-Curtis Henry.
Then Louis Lomas’s near-post cross was cleared by Chevron Mc-Lean as Warren Harris looked set to net.
Blues responded well. Robinson had a shot blocked and Billy Knott fired just wide.
