BATH City returned to winning ways at Braintree, who suffered their first defeat of the season.
Two Cody Cooke penalties aided the Romans who wrapped the game up through Alex Fletcher.
Matt Johnson’s close range effort momentarily had the hosts on terms but City defended superbly in a deserved success.
City took the lead on 34 minutes when Jack Batten’s hanging cross was adjudged to have been handled in the box by Ezra Ikebuasi and Cooke side-footed the resulting penalty past Preston Edwards.
