ST ALBANS City returned to winning ways as they overcame a dogged Slough Town side at Clarence Park.
The home team started the game well and Jonathan North was called into action early on as he made a smart save from a Mitchell Weiss’ header from close range.
A few minutes later and Shaun Jeffers went even closer to opening the scoring, meeting a cross from the right only to see his effort trickle wide of the back post when it looked easier to score.
