THREE wins in a week for Billericay has thrown the relegation battle wide open, and the hosts were good value for the points.
The first half started slowly with Oxford having most of the ball but doing little with it, with Town having the better chances. Niko Muir was prominent in the early stages with two half-chances, one of which went inches over. The opening goals came on 37 minutes when Greg Halford’s throw was headed on by Michael Chambers and scrambled on to the bar; Dylan Gavin reacted first and headed in from close range.
