TOM Blackwell’s second-half equaliser was enough to secure Chelmsford City’s safety in the Vanarama National League South.
Home manager Robbie Simpson described the two halves as Jekyll and Hyde.
Cameron James’s early effort was cleared off the line from Slough Town’s imposing Aaron Kuhl.
The visitors took the lead two minutes later when Lee Togwell slid in George Hunt as he ran into the box and fired off a shot into the bottom left-hand corner beyond Kai McKenzie-Lyle’s reach.
