Saints held on road despite a big finish

AN INTRIGUING game ended in a stalemate.
It was the hosts who had the best of the first 60 minutes but the Saints frustrated their best efforts and looked the more likely to nick the winner late on.
Danny Bloor, the Welling manager, tried to resolve his team’s problems in the final third by signing striker Adam Roscrow in midweek only for his debut to finish in the 11th minute with what looked like a bad injury.
