CHELMSFORD City suffered a third consecutive league defeat as they were outplayed by a resurgent St Albans side who move above the Clarets in the league table.
Chelmsford started the best of the two but St Albans created the best chance when Shaun Jeffers was sent through on goal but he surprisingly shot wide.
The Saints then had to overcome early reshuffles to their defence when Sam Brown and Jack James were both substituted with serious injuries, with James being taken away in an ambulance.
