A SOLITARY strike from Jephte Tanga was enough to see Maidstone United edge past Dover Athletic as the Whites remain rooted to the bottom of the National League South table, 16 points from safety.
The game was played in heavy conditions after torrential rain not long before the match.
On 18 minutes, Charlie Naylor was adjudged to have fouled George Fowler inside the box Sam Corne assumed responsibility for the penalty and although he dug the ball out of the very muddy penalty spot, he blazed the spot kick well over.
