WELLING UNITED moved closer to safety with a point at home to Weymouth who had only been assured themselves one day earlier when the points from a recent abandoned match were given to them. Both clubs looked like they were looking forward to the end of an arduous campaign as they struggled to create clear chances.
Harry Parsons had a deflected shot saved by Reice Charles-Cook at full length before Antony Papadopoulos came close for Welling when his lob hit the bar on the way over.
