TAUNTON TOWN ended their two-year stay in the National League exactly as they had begun it in August 2022, with a goalless draw. With relegation having been confirmed for the Peacocks two days earlier, the game became a dead rubber with the visitors having the best of the few chances that arose.
Home keeper Dan Lavercombe saw the only real action of the first half when he foiled Hemel striker Kaylen Hinds, who had got free on the right of the box, but apart from that there was little to stop the 799 crowd from nodding off.
