Striker Rhys Murphy has left National League South champions Yeovil Town for Dorking Wanderers.
The former Arsenal youngster will remain in Step 2 with Marc White’s side, having scored 10 league goals in an injury-impacted campaign with the Glovers.
It was his second spell at Yeovil, having spent two seasons with the club between 2019-2021 before his return last summer. The 33-year-old’s previous employers include Dagenham & Redbridge, Forest Green Rovers and Chelmsford City.
Murphy is the fourth player to arrive for Dorking this summer as they seek an immediate return to the National League. He follows Jordan Norville-Williams, Harrison Foulkes and Brennan Camp to Meadowbank.
Manager White was thrilled with his new arrival, telling the club’s official website:
“In every strategy, we make no secret of the fact that we want to bounce back straight away.
“I felt like we needed to add goals into the team, Rhys is a prolific England schoolboy, extremely professional, relatively local living in Worthing. He plays between the boxes, a real out and out goal scorer.
“When you’re trying to win a title, you need to have four to five boys that can score goals. Rhys joins Jason (Prior), Alfie (Rutherford), and a returning (James) McShane as part of our strike force.
“We’re trying to win a division, and with that you need to make strategical choices.”
His contract will come into effect on July 1.
