SLOUGH TOWN secured a hard-fought victory over Hornchurch at Arbour Park, extending their unbeaten home streak to 25 matches and moving up to second in the table.
The match, played in grim weather, saw a cautious start with both teams creating few clear chances. Slough’s momentum was disrupted by an injury to Slavi Spasov, who was replaced by John Ufuah in the 26th minute. Hornchurch capitalised on this and grew into the game, coming close to scoring just before half-time through Liam Nash and Angelo Balanta.
