Slough Town completed a year unbeaten at home last week, and they face a tough task looking to extend it today.
The Rebels are home to Hemel Hempstead Town, who are the surprise early league leaders and have scored eight in their last two. The Tudors remain unbeaten since Bobby Wilkinson’s appointment in April.
Slough, third, lost at Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday. It was Weston’s fifth win in a row, a record for them at this level. They’re away to St Albans City this afternoon – the Saints have collected just one point since David Noble was re-appointed in the summer.
The only game they avoided defeat was a 2-2 draw at home to Worthing. Having played their first seven on the road, the Rebels return to Sussex Transport Community Stadium today after its renovation. They host Hornchurch who have lost their last two away by the odd goal.
Truro City‘s fine form ended on Tuesday night with defeat at Bath City. They’ll be looking to bounce back at home to Eastbourne Borough in a top seven tussle. Truro have scored 11 in their first four matches at their new stadium while Eastbourne’s three games on the road have only contained four goals.
Dorking Wanderers were free-scoring during their promotion year in 2022, but they’ve stumbled recently on their return to Step 2. They lost 3-1 at Aveley on Monday, handing the Millers their first win. Weymouth arrive in Surrey without a point to their name and haven’t scored in their last six.
Enfield Town have lost six of their first seven since promotion. They host Maidstone United who have made a surprisingly slow start. Last year’s FA Cup giantkillers haven’t won since the opening day and were thrashed 5-1 at home to Chelmsford City on Tuesday night, their biggest loss at the Gallagher Stadium at this level.
Torquay United brushed aside Chippenham Town 3-0 in the week. They’ll be looking to build on it at Welling United, who’ve conceded seven in their last two games.
Hampton & Richmond Borough will be looking to build on Tuesday’s win at Weymouth. They host Boreham Wood who are winless in three but have netted in all seven games since relegation from the National League.
Farnborough host Salisbury in Hampshire. Spencer Day’s side were the early league leaders but have lost three of their last four, while Salisbury suffered back-to-back losses in the last week. Their last two away games have ended in 1-0 defeats.
Last year’s runners-up Chelmsford City got their season off on and running on Tuesday with a thumping win at Maidstone. Osman Foyo has scored three in two games but will find it a stiff task to add more at home to Bath City, who have kept four clean sheets in seven under Jerry Gill. Josey Casa-Grande will make his second debut in goal in place of the suspended Harvey Wiles-Richards.
Chesham United play Aveley, looking for their first home point since promotion. Chippenham Town collected their first success on home soil last week against Enfield Town, they host Tonbridge Angels who are unbeaten thus far and haven’t conceded in their last three games.
