GOALS from Millar Matthews-Lewis and Hisham Kasimu rewarded Farnborough for their patience against Aveley.
We had to wait till the 56th minute for the first shot on target from any side when Aveley’s Ikechi Eze forced a good save from Farnborough’s Jack Turner.
As both sets of supporters struggled to stay awake and have any hope of anything of note happening, it seemed that all along Spencer Day had been staging an act of performance art.
