CHESHAM UNITED avoided any hangover from their FA Cup exit on Monday with a comfortable win over Worthing.
The first major incident in the game came in the 14th minute, after which Worthing keeper Chris Haigh was extremely fortunate to stay on the pitch. Mitchell Weiss was clean through on goal, Haigh came out of his area and clearly knocked the ball away with his arm but the referee gave nothing.
The incident seemed to spark Chesham into life and they dominated the rest of the half. Bradley Clayton hit a post before Chesham took the lead...
