Jeffers’ joy cut short by offside at death

TORQUAY UNITED and Tonbridge Angels played out a draw, which appeared to have been settled late on when Stoke City loanee Keke Jeffers found the back of the net for the Gulls, only to see his effort ruled offside.
The Gulls started the game on the front foot, forcing two corners in the opening five minutes. As the half wore on, United enjoyed some good possession without being able to score.
In the 31st minute, the visitors went close when Jamie Fielding headed a corner wide.
