THEY made hard work of it, but Boreham Wood did just enough to secure a vital win against Aveley due to a first-half goal from Erico Sousa. It keeps the hopes of automatic promotion alive and leaves Aveley staring at relegation.
Boreham Wood dominated possession throughout, with Sousa at the centre of most things. He forced Millers keeper James Holden into a good save after five minutes.
