Promotion-chasing Torquay United secured a maiden victory over Aveley at the fourth attempt after a controversial late goal by Cody Cooke in the National League South.
The result means the Millers’ relegation from Step 2 is confirmed.
The opening exchanges were rather uneventful as Torquay struggled to break down a well-structured Aveley side.
Jordan Young fired over on 11 minutes for Torquay, with the hosts having a flicked header from Brooklyn Kabongolo go on to the roof of the net.
