Braintree Town have signed Kyrell Lisbie from Cray Valley PM.
The striker was part of last season’s epic FA Cup run for the Millers. Lisbie scored in every qualifying round to set up a local derby at League One side Charlton Athletic. Steve McKimm’s men recorded a stunning 1-1 draw at the Valley before losing the replay 6-1 ten days later, though Lisbie netted from the penalty spot against a side five divisions above them.
Cray went on to win the Pitching In Isthmian Division One South East, losing only one game and scoring 103 goals with Lisbie netting 29 in all competitions.
His form has seen the 20-year-old join newly promoted Braintree Town in the National League.
Cray Valley PM posted their thanks to Kyrell:
“Sadly Kyrell Lisbie will not be seen in a Millers shirt next season having attracted attention higher up the football pyramid.
“A reward for his quality, hard work and goals last season. He has agreed to join a National League side with the two clubs coming to an agreement.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for Kyrell and he leaves with our best wishes and thanks.”
