KING’S LYNN TOWN opened their season in style by defeating league newcomers Gosport Borough at The Walks. Linnets captain Michael Clunan opened the scoring from the spot before Craig Parker doubled their advantage six minutes before the interval.
The hosts were quick out of the blocks and a foul on Ryan Hawkins in the second minute allowed Clunan to stroke home the spot-kick to settle any nerves.
