LEWIS HILLIARD’S late strike direct from a corner earned the Ives all three points against a youthful Weymouth side struck down by first day jitters.
Both sides struggled to find any rhythm in a lacklustre, tentative first period and the home fans in particular were frustrated with their side.
Terras’ striker Brandon Goodship looked the liveliest and midway through the half he let fly with two purposeful efforts but the first was deflected over and the second flew straight at on-loan Barnet keeper Kai McKenzie-Lyle.
