TWO goals from Owen Howe helped Tiverton complete an early season double over the Blues.
For Stortford it was the end of a run that had seen them previously unbeaten in five matches.
Action in the first half was mostly in midfield as both sides struggled with the wind. There was cause for alarm for the hosts in the 34th minute as Tyler McCarthy slipped dealing with a back pass, but the keeper redeemed himself with a fine one-handed save from Levi Landricombe’s goalbound shot.
