KETTERING came through an ill-tempered clash with Stratford thanks in part to a man-of-the-match performance from Rene Howe.
Referee Richard Eley was a busy man blowing up for no fewer than 35 fouls, allowing Kettering’s controversial opener from Mathew Stevens to stand and disallowing another from Howe on the stroke of half-time.
