FANS hoping for some festive cheer were left disappointed as Basingstoke and Royston shared the spoils in a game low on quality.
The sides entered the game just two points apart in the league but couldn‘t be separated on the field as the hosts’ usually potent attack failed to spark while their goalkeeper Colm McAdden came up with a couple of crucial saves to preserve a clean sheet.
