MERTHYR were convinvingly beaten in the end by a Weymouth side who took their chances well.
In an even first 30 minutes it was the home side who came closest to opening the scoring when Ashley Evans headed over a Corey Jenkins corner.
But, just past the half hour mark, Abdulai Baggie set up Brandon Goodship for the visitors only for his shot to be cleared off the goal-line.
However on 38 minutes Baggie again produced a cross from the left and this time Harry Baker rose unchallenged to score.
