KING’S Lynn Town’s hopes of clinching the runners-up spot and home advantage in both games of the Southern League play-offs suffered a major blow.
Striker Michael Gash gave Lynn the lead 12 minutes from time, only to see it cancelled out by Nabil Shariff.
Craig Parker headed a Simon Lappin centre over the woodwork while Ryan Hawkins missed a couple of half-chances.
In the tenth minute, Hawkins was hauled down in the box by Saints’ goalkeeper Finley Irons and Lynn were awarded a penalty.
