IT WAS a dramatic Friday night as AFC Rushden & Diamonds left it late to steal a point against Tamworth.
The Lambs looked to be heading home with all three points until Diamonds striker Tom Lorraine reacted quickest to a parried save from Jas Singh to prod the ball home at the death.
Tamworth came out of the blocks the quickest and took a deserved lead through Akwasi Asante – the Dutchman finishing calmly at the back post after latching onto Regan Upton’s clever flick-on.
