STAINES are increasingly marooned at the foot of the table after a seventh straight defeat.
But they can take positives from a battling performance against a very capable table-topping Taunton.
Five Staines players were making their home debuts, and none of them let themselves down.
But the Peacocks presented formidable opposition, attacking from the start, and took a deserved lead on 12 minutes.
