HERNE Bay turned the form book on its head by totally outplaying promotion-seeking Hythe Town and winning 3-1.
Bottom-of-the-table Bay opened the scoring in the 17th minute when keeper Henry Newcombe failed to control a fierce back-pass, with the ball rebounding off his legs.
Danny Leonard gained possession and drove a low volley into the bottom corner.
Bay had numerous chances to stretch their lead throughout the rest of the half but failed to convert any of them.
