TWO goals early in the second half secured Halesowen’s first league win since early October.
The Yeltz started brightly with both Lee Hughes and Dan Sweeney firing over in the first ten minutes. As Banbury settled, home goalkeeper Dan Platt collected a cross from former Yeltz loanee Ravi Shamsi after half an hour and then saved captain Ricky Johnson’s headed effort.
But relieved Halesowen wrapped up their first victory under new manager Rob Smith shortly after the break.
