KETTERING extended their winning run to seven games but were forced to defend after having Aaron O’Connor sent off in the 24th minute after a clash with Andrew Fisk.
The Poppies had taken the lead against Lowestoft as early as the fith minute.
O’Connor’s cross eluded the outstretched hands of Elvijs Putnins for Rhys Hoeness to convert by the far post to give his side a deserved lead.
It was a deserved lead at that point as the Poppies had made most of the early running.
