BEDFORD Town crept into the last play-off position with a single-goal victory over Barton Rovers in a combative A6 derby.
The winning goal came as early as the seventh minute, as Dan Walker headed past an exposed Gary Malone.
When James Hall had surged down the left wing to cross into the area to Bedford’s unmarked top scorer the result seemed inevitable, and Walker made no mistake with his finish.
