RELEGATION battlers Barnstaple produced one of the shocks of the day as they knocked knocked leaders Yate off their perch with a 2-1 victory.
Second-bottom heading into the weekend’s action, Barnstaple took the lead on 54 minutes when Saddam Bello raced clear to slot home.
Bello doubled his tally on 80 minutes, breaking the offside trap to finish well.
And although Olly Mehew pulled one back in injury-time, the hosts held on for a vital win that also dents Yate’s title hopes.
