ROYSTON started their campaign with a tricky match against last season’s play-off finalists but made the perfect start to the campaign.
They were on the front foot from the start with young Joe Newton causing numerous problems with his tenacity and well delivered crosses.
The opening goal came on 30 minutes with Gus Scott-Morriss delivering a deepish corner and Adam Murray heading it back across the goal for Scott Bridges to rise well in front of the Church’s keeper, Niall Clayton to head in from two yards.
