RUTHLESS Barwell subjected Lowestoft Town to a bad opening day at the office as they ran out comfortable winners.

It could have been all so different for the home side had Ryan Hawkins converted a fourth minute penalty but keeper Liam Castle saved with his knees.
And the Trawlerboys were made to pay as two goals from Ben Stevens, sandwiching a Bradley Hickey strike, put them to the sword.
Jake Reed’s header was just too high but from then on Barwell took control, carving through the home defence time after time.
