GOSPORT’S slim hopes of reaching the play-offs were dented further when they were held at home by Hendon.
The home side started the better in a cagey opening 20 minutes as Nick Dembele, Billie Busari and Harry Kavanagh all had halfchances, the best one coming from Kavanagh whose free-kick was saved by Hendon goalkeeper Ethan Wady at head height.
But it was the visitors who took the lead before half-time despite an ambitious effort from Dan Wooden hitting the top of the net.
