THE last thing Biggleswade needed was a depleted squad when maximum points was required but starting with a bare minimum gave the home side the need to play exceptionally well.
It started brightly with Harry Lodovica and Liam Smythe testing the visiting keeper Oliver Basey.
Smyth went close on 22 when it seemed easier to score when the keeper hacked the ball away with his trailing leg. The corner saw Smyth test the keeper again but same result as the ball was beaten away.
