WILL Grocott scored from the spot to salvage a point for struggling Stratford Town who missed out on the chance to win back to back games for the first time since August.
Jack Thomas had put Ilkeston ahead just before the break as they looked to end a run of three games without a win.
But it was the hosts who had the better of the opening exchanges with Callum Ebanks firing wide on seven minutes after he had done well to cut inside and make room for the shot.
