NEWLY appointed Long Eaton United managers Lewis McGugan and Brad Munn fell to a narrow defeat in charge of their first match as the Canaries made it back-toback wins.
In a cagey first half nothing separated the two sides, but the visitors grew into the game and entered the break on top.
Layne Eadie fired Hitchin in front just two minutes after the restart. The defender picked out the top corner with a deft finish after an incisive through ball from Diogo Freitas Gouveia cut open United’s defence.
