NORTHWOOD’S brave comeback from a threegoal deficit finally ended in defeat against Chertsey.
The Curfews looked dangerous from the off and were good value for a two-goal lead after 26 minutes thanks to strikes from Connor Lee and Gianluca Botti. The game looked beyond Woods when Liam Flanighan added a third on the half-hour mark.
Dan Williams headed home for Woods before the break and then, just after the hour mark, Carl Stewart converted a penalty after Andrew McCorkell had kept Northwood in the game by saving Botti’s penalty.
