CHESHAM made it three home wins in eight days, moving up into second place following a confident victory over mid-table Basingstoke.
The first half was notable for the almost total lack of goalmouth action, Chesham having the best chances of the half, when Ryan Upward sent Bruno Andrade clear, forcing keeper Paul Strudley into a diving save; then Jordan Edwards was clear on goal, sending it too wide.
