STRATFORD Town ran out winners in a game where six of the seven goals came in the second half.
It sounds a thrilling match but in truth this game was played at a pedestrian pace, with brief interludes of fine football. Hitchin took the lead on 12 minutes following good work from Isaac Galliford and Layne Eadie, with the latter converting well.
Stratford spurned several chances while Daniel Idiakhoa hit the foot of the post right at the end of the half for the hosts. It turned out to be a vital miss.
