THE points went to Totton, but the plaudits to Didcot in a peculiarly enjoyable game.
The Hampshire side, well set for the play-offs, were a goal up facing the division’s bottom club down to ten men and having to make do with a makeshift keeper.
The predicted avalanche of goals akin to the 7-1 drubbing in October’s reverse fixture did not materialise and the Stags eventually fell over the winning line having nearly conceded a lastminute equaliser.
