THE Magpies withstood strong Salisbury pressure to claim three vital points from a full-blooded local derby.
The Dorset side edged the first half with Olaf Koszela sending an early free-kick over the bar and a low shot from Shaq Gwengwe forcing a save from keeper Alex Rutter.
Home skipper Jordan Ngalo fired wide of the near post, before Salisbury tested Magpies keeper Jamieson Horlick who saved a deflected free-kick from former Magpie Charlie Gunson.
