CHAMPIONS-elect Needham Market saw off a gallant challenge from relegation-threatened Hitchin Town.
The hosts showed a willingness to attack but found an alert Market defence ready to spoil potential goal threats.
While absorbing pressure from the hosts, Needham began to dictate the pace and mount meaningful attacks.
